Let your Light Shine

PSHE

PSHE Mission Statement.

At The Haven School, guided by our vision "Let Your Light Shine" (Matthew 5:16), we empower children to flourish as joyful, resilient individuals rooted in Christian values. Through physical, social, health and economics (PSHE), we equip them with essential skills, knowledge, and values to cultivate safe, meaningful relationships, embrace their unique identities, and prioritise their health and wellbeing. Our nurturing environment fosters independence and responsibility, enabling every child to navigate through life's challenges. Together, we light the world with compassion, curiosity and ensuring each child fulfils their potential.

Whole-school approach

Jigsaw covers all areas of PSHE for the primary phase including statutory Relationships and Health Education. The table below gives the learning theme of each of the six Puzzles (units) and these are taught across the school; the learning deepens and broadens every year.
